Our work
Projects
The funds we raise enable us to champion many projects in Borneo, all with the aim of protecting the remaining populations of orangutans and their habitat.
Projects
Orangutan rehabilitation
Rescued orangutans at Sepilok undergo a five-step rehabilitation programme to increase their chances of returning to the wild.
Rescue & release
We aid the rescue and release of orphaned, displaced and injured orangutans, as well as those who are victims of the illegal wildlife trade.
Care staff
We employ 12 dedicated care staff and rangers at Sepilok.
Veterinary care & support
The clinic at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre provides 24-hour care to injured and sick orangutans.
Facility upgrades & refurbishments
Including specialist enclosures, clinic refurbishment and nursery enhancements
Habitat conservation
Much of Borneo's rainforest has been lost which threatens the survival of the Bornean orangutan.
Education & outreach
We're dedicated to raising awareness and fostering support for orangutans through education.
Liaison Officer
Educating visitors about orangutan conservation and raising awareness for their plight.
Post-Release Monitoring
A ground-breaking project to monitor the success of rehabilitated orangutans before and after they are returned to the wild.
