Merry Christmas and Thank You
As 2023 comes to end we reflect on the year and extend heartfelt thanks for your invaluable support in making a difference to orangutan conservation in Borneo.
Our team at Sepilok continue to rescue, rehabilitate and release orphaned, displaced and injured orangutans, offering the most vulnerable a fighting chance at a long and healthy life in the wild.
This year our work has reached beyond Sepilok and into the local communities and schools within the region of Sabah. The Education and Outreach Programme has enabled us to raise awareness of the orangutans' plight to those living in close proximity to them and sharing their rainforest home.
A generous grant from one of our business supporters, has helped us to develop and deliver a new website which is more accessible and user friendly. This amazing gesture has given us a new platform to educate and engage with our supporters, both long-standing and new.
Our commitment to the protection and preservation of Bornean orangutans continues as a result of our loyal supporters without whom we would be unable to employ the 11 members of staff that provide care for and rehabilitate the orangutans at Sepilok.
Your contribution to orangutan conservation in 2023 has also helped us to continue funding vital health checks for the orangutans, improvements and upgrades of facilities, regular maintenance of rescue vehicles and habitat restoration and regeneration. You have helped us make a difference and we are truly grateful.
From all of us at Orangutan Appeal UK, we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.
