Tina O'Brien and Ryan Thomas visit Sepilok
Coronation Street actors, Tina O'Brien (Sarah Platt) and Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw), flew out to Borneo in August to see for themselves the work that is being done to help save one of our closest cousins – the orangutans - from extinction.
A formal dispensation was granted by the Sabah Wildlife Department to enable a closely supervised visit to be allowed behind the scenes at the world famous Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre for the celebrities. Tina and Jason will be telling Hello Magazine all about their moving experience and hope to raise awareness of the orangutan's plight and support for the work being carried out by the Sabah Wildlife Department and the Orangutan Appeal UK.
