About Napagang
Napagang is a spirited and resilient orangutan. Rescued in 2024 aged two, his fun-loving character and vibrant energy make him very popular.
Napagang's journey began with heartbreak, orphaned at just two years old. Left all alone in the world having tragically lost his mother, Sepilok was his only hope of survival.
Despite the emotional challenges he faced on arrival, Napagang has adapted well to his new life. He is confident in his training, playful with his fellow orangutans and has developed a sense of independence, steadily progressing toward a future in the wild.
How adoptions help
Symbolic adoptions are an engaging way to contribute towards conserving the critically endangered Bornean orangutan by following the progress of a rescued individual at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre.
Your contribution will go towards supporting various projects and initiatives which are all aimed at protecting and preserving these animals and their habitats in Borneo. This approach means that all the orangutans at Sepilok receive support and allows us to allocate resources where they are needed most, including rescue efforts, habitat restoration and our education and outreach programme.
You’ll receive a progress report about your adopted orangutan after six months.
